Private Jets Are Not That Privat Anymore
Russian travel meta Aviasales added 'empty legs' seats on its search results.
Private jet tickets are now available on Aviasales search page along with business class fares. Partnership with JetHunter opens access to thousands of private jets for travellers.
Every day there are about 3.000 ‘empty legs’ fly around the world. A half of them refers to the USA, 30% are in Europe and 20% is the rest of the world.
'This new feature is an another step of uberisation everything'. Aviasales CEO Max Kraynov said. 'We all know about unsold segments on private jets but now they are on a handy OTA's interface with a few clicks check-out'.
Moreover, a private jet can be even value for money! For instance, one seat in Challenger 300 on a route from Moscow to Istanbul costs 25% less than Aeroflot's business class seat.
Empty return flights appear close to big hubs. There is no point to wait for ‘empty legs’ for Syzran to Magadan. However, you can have a luck on routes from Moscow to Europe or backwards.
‘Business aviation flights are interesting for corporate clients and those who get used to fly in business class. In addition, we are sure such flights will interest experienced travellers who have tried many things and business aviation will bring new, but affordable impressions’, JetHunter CEO Arthur Abajian said.
Furthermore, booking a private jet is as similar as to booking any other ticket online. JetHunter provides an actual aircraft photos, then a passenger needs to enter a passport and credit card details.
