Aviasales Filtered No Luggage Fees
The leading Russian travel search Aviasales is the world’s first meta service that allows choosing a fare with or without check-in baggage just on the search page.
At the moment, Aviasales not only finds the cheapest tickets but also offers adding baggage to the order just with a click.
Aviasales’ CEO Max Kraynov says that the average check is decreased due to the new no baggage fares but passengers are completely confused because of new rules.
According to Aviasales’ research, half of travellers doesn’t know what is included in their fare and 30% had to pay for extra luggage at the airport. Besides, an extra payment at the check-in desk is 60% higher than online payment.
Kraynov explains, “We have found visual solution how to inform the user about baggage allowance in his fare and to choose included baggage fare if applicable. We are glad to be pioneers among metasearch who solved this problem. Now you can choose ticket with baggage on search page nowhere, except us”.
Aviasales gets fare rules from its partners and modifies them into the convenient form for users. Fare choice is available in tickets and filters in order to see flights only with included baggage.
Earlier Aviasales added baggage allowance info into tickets. A new set of functions is a logic step in the development of additional services like low prices calendar and map, direct flights map, subscription and flexible ticket search.
